Cementos Balboa is part of Grupo Alfonso Gallardo and located in Alconera (Badajoz, Spain). It began production in May, 2005, focusing on the production of cement from limestone.

Cement is one of the basic building blocks, whose production and especially consumption is used to define a country’s level of development and well-being. Therefore, we can see how Cementos Balboa has made large contributions to Extremadura, which has historically lacked in these types of industries.

The technology used in building the factory along with its cement manufacturing process is cutting edge and allows for complete automation: from the reception of the raw materials to product shipping.

Cementos Balboa has not had to change to adapt to the environmental policies required by modern society, since it had already begun with the strictest understanding that a company can not separate its development programme from its quality and environmental programme. The complete production programme and economic profitability is tied to the same environmental protection and management excellence project.

It has a 1,600,000 ton annual production capacity for manufacturing cement that is sold in bulk and pre-packaged, with its main clients being cement plants and construction warehouses throughout Extremadura and the surrounding communities.

Cementos Balboa is the only cement producing factory in Extremadura.
